It was that same year that I graduated from High School and began at "Sac State", California State college in Sacramento. Not knowing what to major in, I thought I'd just get my basic units out of the way, then took a year off to ponder my next move. In 1978 I transferred to U.C. Davis to major in design. That fit my (hobby) interests, but it also legitimized what was to become a fun career. Things I'd dabbled in were developed and refined, such as graphic design, scale modelmaking, exhibit design, and photography. By December, 1979, I graduated with honors for my Bachelors in Science, and I was ready to move on. I owe much of my professional design thinking to my instructor, Dolph Gotelli, who, today is still making some very amazing things...
